Chamomile Flower Extract

Supports digestive comfort and a sense of calm.* Chamomile Flower Extract — GLPrelief ingredient
What

Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) is one of the world's most widely consumed herbal botanicals, with a tradition of use for digestive and nervous system comfort stretching back thousands of years across European, Egyptian, and Middle Eastern cultures.

GLPrelief uses a 10:1 chamomile flower extract — meaning each milligram of extract is concentrated from 10 milligrams of raw chamomile flower. This delivers a higher concentration of the flower's active compounds, including apigenin, in a compact form suitable for a stick pack format.

Why We Chose It

Chamomile serves a dual purpose in the GLPrelief formula: digestive comfort and gentle nervous system support.

For GLP-1 medication users navigating digestive adaptation, a botanical that supports both stomach comfort and a sense of calm addresses two frequently co-occurring concerns. The physician selected chamomile to complement ginger's more targeted stomach-comfort mechanism with a broader digestive-and-calming profile.

Chamomile also pairs naturally with L-Theanine in the blend — both support a calm state through different pathways, creating a complementary rather than redundant effect.

Form & Concentration

The 10:1 extract concentration means the chamomile in GLPrelief is equivalent to a significantly larger amount of raw chamomile flower — delivering the active compounds in a form that fits within the stick pack format without requiring large doses of bulky plant material.

The Research

Chamomile is one of the most traditionally used botanicals worldwide. Its active compounds — particularly the flavonoid apigenin — have been studied for digestive and calming properties. While the clinical evidence base for chamomile is less extensive than for ginger or L-Theanine, its long history of traditional use and favorable safety profile support its inclusion as a complementary botanical in the GLPrelief blend.

GLPrelief's claims for chamomile are positioned conservatively, reflecting the traditional-use evidence base rather than specific clinical trial outcomes.

No direct studies in GLP-1 medication users have been conducted.
